WordPress Page or Post Revisions

WordPress maintains the revisions for pages and posts.

By default the revisions are hidden from view for WordPress pages and posts. However, in the background the revisions are being maintained.

To see the revisions, at the top of the web page click on the Screen Options tab and then ensure that the checkbox under Show on screen is ticked. The content of the page is sensitive to changes to the check boxes. Ticking the Revisions check box will cause a section for revisions to show below the content editor.

The option to manage the revisions only shows on pages and posts which have been published.

Clicking on an old version of a page or post will bring up a comparison for the entry. It is then possible to decide whether you wish to restore the older version or keep the current one.

If you wish to restore an older revision click on the relevant Restore link to the right. Or to go back to the current version click on the dated version at the top of the list of revisions. The equivelent link is at the top if you are comparing two versions.
