Facebook Page for a Business or Organisation

Creating a Facebook page for a business or organisation allows for easy reference, no anonymous number and other authorised users can post to the page.

Creating a Facebook page for a business or organisation:

  • From your profile home page select create and choose page
  • Give your page a name and add a category to help describe it.
  • Add the Business information, items such as the address and contact information
  • Click on continue

A profile image can be added. Also a cover photo if you wish.

On the left menu block (Manage Page) scroll down to the last two items: Edit Page Info and Settings.

Page Naming

By default the name which you choose will have a string of random characters added, to create a unique reference.

If you are lucky the naming of your page with your organisation will allow you to delete these and have a unique page.

Deleting the extra content needs to create a unique page name for it to be accepted.

Edit Page Info

Review and amend the options available.

As its an organisation page you may wish to add another user to share the work of adding content.

Settings

For now use this as a review to ensure that the information shown is correct and appropriately restrictive.

With these changes made your Facebook business/organistation page is ready to be viewed. Set the page visibility to Published.
