With the user role RSVP code the DotNetNuke website administrator can enable users to subscribe to a role.
The administrator sends the RSVP code to a group of users for them to enter the code and thus to gain access to a role. Thus saving the administrator editing each of the users’ roles and adding the chosen role.
Administration
The RSVP code maybe an appropriate string of characters. To set the RSVP code select the Security Roles page from the Admin menu. Click on the pencil link for one of the roles listed. Expand the Advanced Settings.
The RSVP code is one of the items listed along with the service payment options. Enter your chosen string of characters here. Note, not all of the security roles enable the setting of an RSVP code. Exceptions include the Administrator and Registered Users.
Users
To gain access to the option click on your user name (often located alongside the login/logout link.
Follow the link for Manage Services, the last one in the row of four options. Currently Enter RSVP Code is the only option presented.
Note: Manage Services, is not available for the host/superuser account.
