I use Sugar CRM (www.sugarcrm.com) to manage business contacts. There are a number of default campaigns defined. These are used to inform the source of a business contact.
Catching up with the business cards from a recent Business Biscotti meeting I needed a new campaign type, the default Sugar CRM campaigns didn’t match.
To add a new campaign type to Sugar CRM changes are made under the Admin section. Click on the admin link, a few links to the right of the user name, top right corner, in the default theme.
On the Admin page search for and click on Dropdown Editor, its under the Developer Tools section. This will show two lists of dropdowns. click on the link to edit campaign_type_dom.
I added the following entry details and then dragged the new entry to second place after -blank-.
Item Name: NetworkMeeting
Display Label: Network Meeting
Don’t forget to click save. Easy to overlook. If you migrate away from the page and return to edit your campaign the new entry will be missing and need to be added again.
I also added a new entry for Lead Source (lead_source_dom)
